- Currently we do not have a date set to re-open the studio but as we get closer to opening for appointments again we wanted to share some changes that will be coming to comply with the "new normal". You can read these policies on this special blog post that we will keep updated and linked on the front page of our website. Please keep in mind these items may change as the situation is very fluid.
April 29th
- Hello all, we hope this update finds you are safe and well. After listening to Governor Newsom's update yesterday on the state's guidelines to reopen we wanted to put out an update about where we are in regards to re-opening. Based on the information provided from the state we are expecting a minimum of Mid-May before we can leagally and safely re-open but realistically we are thinking it will be June before things can open up. We are also expecting a few minor changes will need to be in place when we are able to open as well.
- We are currently working on minor maintenance things like painting so the studio is fresh when we re-open. We will also detail any changes as we get closer to re-opening. We are expecting things like networking events and group shoots will come back later and may need to change formats for a while based on the state's current plan.
- We are currently offering a limited time discounted gift certificate while we remain closed. The certificate costs $40 but is good for $50 worth of appointments and events. There is no limit to how many you can buy and there is no expiration date on them. We will only have this available while we are closed so stock up now. This certificate will help us to raise money to cover things like rent and utilities while we remain closed.

March 28th
- Friday we spoke with the Orange County department of health and with Governor Newsom's open ended order we, along with all other photography studios, are classified as non-essential and must keep our doors closed. As a small business this is extremely discouraging since we still have rent and bills but we cannot generate any income. We are looking at options so that when this is all over we can open our doors and welcome you all back to Elysium. In the meantime there are ways you can help. There are links at the top of this page where you can buy magazines from the studio, Plushies from Maria or Prints from Slevin. Every little bit helps and we will do our best to get the studio open as soon as we can legally do so. If you have any questions or comments feel free to reach out to us.
March 15th
- We are going to waive the deposits if you need to cancel your appointment even if it’s last minute. This means we will issue a refund even if you are within the 48 hour window. You must call or email us before your appointment though. No call / no shows will still be handled as they have been. This will remain in effect until April 1st. We also ask that if you are symptomatic or feel sick that you call and cancel or reschedule.
- We have started wiping down the furniture in the studio after every appointment so it may take a little extra time for us to be ready for your appointment. If your start time is delayed we will allow you to run over so you won’t loose any time. We have always wiped down the makeup room and bathrooms between appointments but we are just extending the items we clean after each appointment. We also have some hand sanitizer in the makeup room and we will make it available as long as we can get it. As always there is soap in the bathroom and that is the best way to wash your hands.
- As a small business we will continue to monitor the situation and we will update you as needed.
